Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara has not yet got his money for the first three editions of Indian Premier League. Kumar Sangakkara and Australian cricketer Shaun Mash have written to Board of Cricket in India about non-payment of dues from kings XI Punjab. Indian Cricket board has conformed to media about the letter. But Kings XI Punjab has refused the non-payment of dues. Sangakkara was bought by the Kings XI Punjab for US$ 7oo ooo.
Kumar Sangakkara was the captain of the third edition of IPL but his team was unable to make any impact and they were the last in point table. There were rumors that there were some hiccups in the players dressing rooms over the appointment of Sangakkara over local hero Youvaraj Singh. This issue has lead for the players apprehension when they are bought by the Kings XI Punjab team this time. It is learnt that not only Sangakkara and Mash but also other players have not been paid fully for the first editions.
