By Sandakalum - Sun Apr 10, 4:07 pm

Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga took five wickets in Mumba Indian’s first match in the IPL today. Thanks to Malinga’s lethal bowling Mumbai Indian could all out Delhi Daredevils for just 95 runs in 17.5 overs. Delhi Daredvils has a good batting line up which include Virender Sehwag and David Warner. Lasith Malinga also bowled a maiden over to Virender Sehwag which Sehwag described his first maiden over in ten years.

Lasith Malinga balled out David Warner in the second ball of his first over. It was a pin point yoker which shuttered the stumps. The fourth ball of the same over was a fast and straight full length delivery which was to much for Unmukt Chand. Malinga then came back for his second spell to clean up Venugopal and Morne Morkel (0) with an unplayable yorker and a deceiving slower ball respectively.

Lasith Malinga’s five for thirteen is the third best bowling in IPL history. Sohail Tanveer (6/14 for Rajasthan Royals) and Anil Kumble’s (5/5) efforts are in the first and second places. Here is the video highlights of Lasith Malinga’s five wickets in the match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils on 2011-04-10.
