Comes under the vision of “Mahinda Chinthana”, the City tour aims to promote and enhance the tourism industry of the country.

Colombo, the island’s largest city, is noisy, frenetic – and just a little crazy. And it holds less obvious interest than many other parts of the island. So, ” Why on earth  one would bother to go around this noisy city  ?” But unseen by many the Colombo city has been developing to a clean and beautiful place with some colourful enough panoramic view. The tourists visiting the city of Colombo will be able to cover just the right places to see with this service.

The tour will commence at the Galle Face Hotel premises at 8.30hrs and en route collect passengers at points in front of leading hotels in Slave Island and Fort. The seven hour tour would include the important attractions in Colombo City and Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte. There will be live commentaries on all surrounding attractions by a professional guide in English. Information leaflets will be made available in important foreign languages and in local languages in addition to English.

The kids will definitely enjoy the open deck ride with so many things to see around. The opportunity to capture a bird’s eye view from the 30th floor of the Bank of Ceylon tower is a special highlight of the tour as it gives a rare opportunity to see the new developments of the harbor and the city.
