Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga is expected to win matches by ball. But today playing for Mumbai India team in Champions League match against Chennai Super Kings in Chenni, Lasith Malinga pulled an unlikely win for Mumbai Indians. Chenni Super kings had scored 159 runs in their 20 overs. During the reply Mumbi Indians were on 107 runs at the 15.3 over when they lost their last recognized batsman Keiron Pollard. The required run rate was close to 12 and Malinga joined the Mumbai Indian captain Harbhajan Singh. Malinga hit two clean straight sixes Shadab Jakarti which brought the confidence for the two batsman in the middle. Lasith Malinga's little came with the bat , 37 runs not out in 18 balls, won the match for Mumbai Indians and the inning included three sixes and three boundaries. Lasith Malinga's 37 runs in this inning is the highest score by a ninth batsman in CPL matches and it was his highest T20 score by Sri Lankan hero Lasith Malinga. Earlier in the day, Lasith Malinga gave enough troubles to the Chennai Super Kings batsmen. He cleaned balled Murali Vijey with his tow crushing yorker, balling his second over of the inning. The first delivery to Suresh Raina broke Suresh Raina's bat and Raina did not have any clue about the subsequent delivery. At the end Malinga's balling performance read 1 for 29 in four overs. Malinga and Harbhajan Singh had a partnership of 53 runs in 27 balls and Lasith Malinga was named Nokia Man of the Match.
