Sonu Nigam Live In Concert – Colombo
Sonu Nigam.....the word has been made so much uttered these days by almost all the Sri Lankans with him visiting Sri Lanka in the very near future. In carrying his legacy to further heights Sonu Nigam Live In concert is held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.  Sonu Nigam Live In Concert is done as a fund raiser for providing homes for homeless Sri Lankans, and you also can win free tickets for this show.

Sonu Nigam will be in Colombo perforhming in CH&FC ground. This event is organized by "Star Events" in aid of Janasevana funds. "Janasevana" is Sri Lankan government's special programme to construct one million houses for low income families. One million houses are to be constructed within six years under this programme. You can win free tickets to "Sonu Nigam live In Concert" by referring friends to this events web site. They are selecting ten lucky winners and each winner will get two tickets.

Who is Sonu Nigam ?

With his amazing voice and music skills Sonu Nigam has been able to attract most parts of the world. Sonu Nigam began his singing career at the age of three, when he joined his father on stage to sing Mohammed Rafi's "Kya Hua Tera Vaada, Wo Kasam Wo Irada." From then on Sonu accompanied his father on his singing appearances at weddings and parties. In his teenage years he successfully participated in several music competitions. He moved to Mumbai with his father to begin his Bollywood singing career at the age of 19. Joining the Bollywood music industry was the biggest turnaround in Sonu Nigam’s Life and he was greatly influenced with traditonal Music as He was trained by classical singer Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. After starting to present the famous Sa Re Ga Ma in 1995 with the first episode airing on 1 May 1995,he got on to the platform of success. Soon after, he sang "Accha Sila Diya" on the album Bewafa Sanam (1995), which was very successful,he started getting so many offers from all the producers from all around the country.His charming voice had made almost every film director get songs sung that brought immense success to the films.Over the years, Nigam has become a major force in the Indian music industry. Sonu Nigam has provided playback singing for a large number of Hindi movies and won many awards. His rendition of the title song of the film Kal Ho Naa Ho has been highly popular. Sonu Nigam is recognized for his singing of romantic, rock, sad, and patriotic songs. Sonu Nigam being a great Personality strived hard in making so many human favourable dreams come true by contributing in every possible way. Sonu Nigam has done work for various charities in India as well as abroad for Dignity Foundation, various cancer organizations, leprosy organizations, blindness organizations, women's welfare organizations, kargil war affected families, earthquake affected families. He also sponsors a child from the organization “Crayon”. This great singer has made various appearances in the cause of HIV / AIDS and also has a song titled "Papa I'm sorry" relating to this. Sonu Nigam has also released several songs and made several contributions to the cause of peace between India and Pakistan.
