Yoshitha to Lead Sri Lanka Rugby Team

President’s son Yoshitha Rajapaksha has been appointed as Sri Lanka National Rugby team’s captain. Yoshitha who is a sub lieutenant of Sri Lanka navy also represents Sri Lanka navy rugby team.
Sri Lanka rugby union team is due to tour Philippines to participate in first round matches in Asian five nation ruby tournament. The other Aisan teams which will be in playing with Sri Lanka in the tournament are Chinese Taipei, Singapore and Philippines.
Sri Lanka rugby football union executive director Rohan Gunarathna confirmed the Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage’s approval of the new captain and touring Sri Lanka team.
