The young actress Piyumi Purasingha appears in few popular advertisements these days on TV and she has already featured in many teledramas and films. Piyumi acts in “Adariye” and “Adare tharam” are two teledramas which are currently being telecast on TV.
Thushara, Wada Bari Tazan 1 and Wada Bari Tazan 2 are the three films that Piyumi has contributed with her acting. Piyumi came to the field by appearing in advertisements and then she got her first chance for a teledrama acting in “Nilanjana” teledrama. But Piyumi denys that her acting career is something she planned. Her main career interest is to do a start a business in fashion designing.
Piyumi’s engagement with her long time boy friend Rayme Rajlal was on March 24th. Rayme is a businessman by profession. Piyumi and Rayme first came to know each other at a friend’s party and in no time they started dating. Piyumi and Rayme do not have any immediate plans to have their wedding but apparently they are planning for it in 2013.
