A group of little girls perform an incredible dance act. You may think this is a fusion act of gymnastic and Indian traditional dances. But this is said to be a dancing tradition called Gotipua, which is a form of Odissi taught only to boys. It's a form of traditional Indian classical dance that actually survived throughout the times when the Mahari tradition (temple dancers) had died out almost completely. It it through this tradition that present day Odissi was revived, reconstructed, and codified. Hats off to these little girls and their parents and teacher. Hope you will share this video with friends.
